Before our foray into the world of education, Spyder3D® began as a producer of a specialized 3D printing filament called Orbium™.

We realized many educators began incorporating 3D printing into their curriculums to teach students science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) and set out to create a classroom-friendly alternative to ABS and PLA that could be used to ignite students’ imaginations and open their eyes to the endless possibilities offered through these exciting fields.

After several years of rigorous testing and trials, we teamed up with PolyOne to create the ultimate filament, Orbium™. With excellent print quality, minimal warping, and virtually no odor, Orbium™ is the last filament you’ll ever need.
